Cosigners must have a U.S. based address and a credit score of 680 or higher as well as  income that is three times the monthly rent.

The application process can be completed entirely online. To create your Bungalow account and apply within minutes, simply give us your:

• Name and address 

• A government-issued form of identification

• Self-reported credit score

• Self-reported monthly income and

• Attest to your background and history 

To apply for a lease:

• Verification of your income (i.e. pay stub)

• Application fee (varies by market)

We are committed to welcoming inclusive residents from all backgrounds. You’ll need to meet the following requirements to lease with Bungalow:

• Income: Gross monthly income of at least three times the monthly rent 

• Credit Score: A favorable credit history reflecting consistent payments and satisfactory debt to income levels

• Leasing History: No recent history of evictions 

• Background Report: Meets the standards of our community per Fair Housing Guidelines

There are five main steps in the application process which include: 

1. Creating your profile: Add details about yourself. This will be required for everyone who will be living in the home over 18-years of age.

2. Completing pre-screening: This will evaluate your credit, income, leasing history and background report to ensure you will qualify to apply. This one-time process is free and will ensure you meet community standards. Again, this will be required of everyone living in the home over the 18-years of age. If you qualify you will become a Verified Bungalow Member. 

3. Touring the home: Once you are a Verified Bungalow Member you’ll be able to book a self-guided tour of the home. To book a tour select “Book a Tour” on the property listings page. Touring is optional but encouraged! 

4. Submitting an application: This step only takes minutes to complete via a safe and secure online platform. Here you’ll be able to choose your room and your lease length. There will be a fee required as well as additional documents and verification at this stage.

5. Signing your lease: Once your applications are approved a member of our team will send out leases for signature.

Bungalow individually evaluates requests for service and support animals. We do not condone discrimination, and strive to grant reasonable accommodations for assistance animals where properly supported under applicable law. Please reach out to Bungalow support with help on notifying us about your service animal.

Residents can choose lease terms between 4 and 24 months. Residents can also move freely to other homes in different cities without breaking their lease.

Yes, we follow local and federal regulations for service animals.

Smoking and illegal drugs of any kind are not allowed in the home or near the premises.

While we love pets, we only offer pet friendly living in a select few of our homes. You can check the property listings page if pets are allowed in a specific home.

Yes, we have a self-automated tour process for our homes. Simply click “Book a Tour” on the property listing page you are interested in. Once you verify your identity we’ll send you a code to get into the home before your chosen tour time.

The price of the home will be listed on the property listings page at our 12-month lease rate. We offer lease lengths as little as 4-months and as long as 24-month. Our pricing can be subject to change based on the lease term.

Bungalow does not charge a broker fee.

Sometimes things just unexpectedly break or go wrong, and when that happens Bungalow has got you covered. If you happen to break something, you’ll be responsible for paying for it — but we’re still here to help you get it fixed with top-quality maintenance at the best price.

For day-to-day tasks like taking out the trash, hanging mirrors or watering your houseplants, that’s your time to shine. Examples of other maintenance requests that fall under resident responsibility include:

• Installation or assembly of personal furnishings

• Changing lightbulbs

• Plumbing issues like clogged drains that arise due to resident use

• Disposal of trash or large items beyond weekly trash service

• Testing and troubleshooting blown fuses

• Bathroom fixtures like shower curtains and disposable bathroom items

Bungalow works with maintenance partners and homeowners to quickly address important items within the home that are broken or not functioning in their intended form. We strive to address maintenance requests in a timely manner that appropriately reflects the urgency of the problem. For more info, refer to the following guide.

 We currently do not offer cleaning services for our homes.

We’re committed to providing residents in the Bungalow community with an outstanding living experience. Our $30 monthly service fee* covers:

• All payments in app

• Support from 7am-7pm

• Security deposit alternatives & help building credit

• 24/7 maintenance support

*Base monthly service fee is $80. Save up to $50 per month on your service fee with auto-pay. The monthly service fee does not include utilities.

Parking is available for many of our homes. This  is based on an individual property basis so please check the listing. An additional parking fee also varies by property depending on space limitations.

This can vary by the condition you leave your personal bedroom and the rest of the home. You always want to leave your space better than you found it! Fill in those small picture holes, spot paint, remove all personal belongings & deep clean all relevant areas.

No, utilities are not included in the advertised price. We also charge a $100 utility set-up fee.

Generally the internet speed in our homes is 250 Mbps which is rated as suitable for 9+ Power Users. In certain locations the speeds may vary depending on what ISP is offered in that market and neighborhood.

Security deposits will be returned in accordance with applicable law.

When you sign your new lease, depending on the market, we collect a security deposit equal to one month's rent or an approved security deposit alternative. We also collect the first month’s rent and service fees.

Payment is due on the first of every month.
