There are two types of public transit available in Portland, the bus and the MAX light rail service. The bus service is often used for short trips such as commuting to and from work or school or running errands. The MAX system is used for longer trips because it's more reliable, runs later into the evening than buses, and provides a view of what constitutes Portland itself. The cost of a ride on either bus or MAX ranges from $2 to $5 depending on your age. An all-day pass will range from $4 to $20 which can be much cheaper than paying per trip.

Portland offers everything from food sourced from within 150 miles of the city limits to one of the most talked about summer movie line ups in recent years. With so many great options for recreation and entertainment, you'll never be bored!
